Customer safety should be the top priority during any permanent make-up procedure.
Sterile, disposable pigment cups are a product that should be a mandatory part of every linergist's
range.
The cup is in direct contact with both the pigment and the needle used to pick up the pigment.
The cup comes into direct contact with both the pigment and the needle used to pick up the pigment. Since
we attach so much importance to the use of gloves, sterile needles and high-quality disposable
cartridges, an important question arises: why do we still use cups that are packaged in bulk, without
any hygiene guarantees?
Silicone and plastic are manufactured in industrial conditions that do not meet sterility standards.
Standard cups are not sterilised or cleaned, and their bulk
packaging and storage does not ensure hygienic conditions. In practice, this means that they may come into
contact with environmental factors, including microorganisms. This creates a paradox: we work
with a sterile needle and cartridge, but the pigment is scooped from a non-sterile cup that is in direct
contact with both the needle and the pigment. This working pattern significantly increases the risk of
contamination and
cross-infection.
ME disposable silicone pigment cups
have been specially designed for permanent make-up
treatments
with a view to maintaining complete sterility. Each cup undergoes a complete process of
cleaning, packaging and final sterilisation with ethylene oxide (EO) using a method used for medical devices
.
The cups are individually packaged in barrier packaging and provide a level of safety comparable to
sterile cartridges. This eliminates one of the most overlooked yet crucial
sources of potential contamination during the procedure.
