Aftercare: How to Care for Eyebrows After Permanent Makeup

Aftercare in the First Days Post-Procedure

Permanent eyebrow makeup provides lasting and aesthetically enhanced eyebrows. The final effect of the procedure becomes apparent about a month later, once the skin is fully healed and the intensity of the color has slightly faded. It's crucial for the client to properly care for the skin around the eyebrows and avoid actions that could negatively affect the outcome of the procedure. Proper aftercare following permanent makeup is as important as the procedure itself. To ensure even healing and a satisfactory final result, it is essential to adhere to all the specialist's recommendations. Here are some key points to pay special attention to:

Avoiding External Factors: During the healing process, avoid solariums, direct sunlight, saunas, and pools. Do not scratch off any forming scabs as this can lead to scarring. Allow the eyebrows to heal naturally.

Care for Your Eyebrows According to Specialist Recommendations: Do not seek information on internet forums. If you have any questions, contact the person who performed the procedure directly.

Limiting the Use of Cosmetics: Do not apply cosmetics to the pigmented area to avoid the risk of infection. In the first days after pigmentation, thoroughly clean your eyebrows, preventing the formation of scabs. Wash the eyebrows with and against the hair growth, ensuring all plasma is properly washed off.

Do Not Panic Over Color Changes: If the eyebrows are reddened or the pigment seems warmer than expected, remember that the skin is still healing. The final color of the eyebrows will be visible about four weeks after the day of the procedure.

Correction Procedure: Do not forget about the importance of the correction procedure, which allows for evening out and possibly intensifying the eyebrow color. The correction should be performed between 6 weeks and 3 months after the initial procedure.

Effectively Communicating Aftercare Information to Clients

The most effective way to convey information about proper post-treatment care to clients is to prepare a special leaflet with advice and guidelines. This leaflet will enable the client to familiarize themselves with specific recommendations at home and ensure that no important information is overlooked. Quantum offers leaflets in several languages - Polish, English, Spanish, and German, each containing detailed instructions for eyebrow care after the procedure. On the back of each card, there is space for entering the client's details and information about the procedure performed. Remember, informing clients about the devices and pigments used is your responsibility according to current European Union regulations.
