Calm - Significantly reduces swelling and redness, leading to a clear calming of the skin reaction in the treated
area.
A formula based on glycerin, water, and witch hazel (Hamamelis Virginiana) leaf extract, stabilized with ethyl
alcohol. The product is designed for short-term skin support during permanent makeup and microblading procedures. It
works through toning and limiting superficial exudate, without interfering with the pigment implantation process in
the skin. It stabilizes tissue reactions between passes. The product does not “lock” the pigment and does not affect
its binding in the skin; it acts on the skin reaction, facilitating control of the pigmentation process during the
procedure.
After needle passes, the skin:
- swells (edema),
- vascular permeability increases,
- serous exudate (lymph) or minor bleeding appears.
This results in:
- the skin surface becoming moist,
- reduced mechanical stability of the tissue,
- less reliable visual assessment of saturation due to disturbed surface skin conditions.
The product limits superficial exudate and calms the skin reaction, which facilitates assessment of the treatment
result between passes and the amount of pigment in the skin.
Due to the presence of astringent and antiseptic ingredients, the product is intended for short contact with the
skin.
After fulfilling its function, it should be washed off, and final care should be based on products dedicated to
post-procedure protection and hydration.
Use during lip pigmentation
When applied to the lips, The Pigment CALM, despite possible sensations of stinging perceived as temporary
discomfort, acts astringently on the tissues, reduces swelling, and calms the vermilion zone. Stabilization of
tissue reaction allows the artist to accurately assess the implanted color and how it presents on the vermilion
during the procedure. The product acts on the skin surface and skin reaction, not on the pigment, and does not
interfere with the implantation process. By calming the lip surface, it enables a more controlled and predictable
pigmentation process.
Client sensations
At the moment of application, a short-term stinging or burning sensation may occur due to contact of the alcohol-
and plant-extract-based product with skin after micro-needling. This sensation is temporary and subsides after the
product is removed.
It is a transient reaction related to the mechanism of action and not an adverse effect.
Use during eyebrow pigmentation
During eyebrow pigmentation, The Pigment CALM is used particularly on oily, reactive skin or skin prone to bleeding.
The product works through short-term toning and an astringent effect, helping to limit superficial exudate (lymph,
minor bleeding) and excessive surface moisture between passes. It significantly reduces swelling and redness,
leading to a clear calming of the skin reaction in the treated area. This allows for more accurate assessment of
pigment saturation and distribution during the procedure. The product acts on the skin reaction and does not
interfere with the pigmentation process, nor does it affect the composition or properties of the pigment. It may be
used between passes, maintaining a short contact time.
The product is not intended for continuous cleansing of the skin and does not replace standard cleansing products
for the treatment area, such as green soap.
It should be used sporadically and purposefully, exclusively as a tool for controlling skin reaction.
- Eyebrows: use every 1–2 passes, depending on skin reaction.
- Lips: use after completing pigmentation of one half of the lips, not at every wipe.
After each application, wait 30 seconds to 1 minute and then thoroughly rinse the product from the skin surface.
The product is intended for short-term skin contact and should not remain on the skin for an extended period.
The Pigment CALM does not replace moisturizing products or post-procedure care preparations. After fulfilling its
function, it must be completely removed before applying an occlusive product.
