Pigment from the 'Ombre Brows' series created in collaboration with Perma Blend x Paulina Osinkowska
PIGMENT 05
Ideal for clients with light brown to dark brown hair.
Pigment 05 allows for achieving a deep yet natural shade of brown. It can be used alone or in combination with other pigments to adjust the color to the client's needs.
Application tips: To achieve a more subtle finish, add 1-2 drops of diluent to 15 drops of pigment. To warm up the tone, add 1 drop of orange corrector. If you want to darken the shade, use Pigment 06. Combinations of Pigments 05 and 06 are among the most frequently used.
Pigment is one of the most important tools in a PMU artist's kit. As artists, we can have the best products, but if we do not fully understand how to work with pigment, adjust techniques to specific colors or skin types, or properly use equipment, we risk making intuitive decisions that may lead to unsatisfactory results for both you and your client. The Ombre Brows collection is divided into light, medium, and dark shades, numbered 01–06, to simplify color selection. Each shade has been modified and balanced to heal into beautiful brown tones when used correctly. However, in some cases, corrective pigments such as yellow or orange, as well as a diluent, which lightens the color and gives it more transparency, will be necessary.
The composition includes the following colorants:
Organic Yellow Pigment: Yellow 138 (CI 56300)
Inorganic White Titanium Dioxide TiO2: White 6 (CI 77891)
Organic Red Pigment: Red 254 (CI 56110)
Organic Red Pigment: Red 264 (CI 561300)
Black Carbon Pigment: Black 7 (CI 77266)
Colorants are listed in order of highest to lowest concentration in the formula

Our goal was to create a collection that sits between the classic Perma Blend line and the inorganic pigments available on the market. The pigment formula is hybrid, containing Carbon Black as the black colorant, organic pigments such as three different types of reds, yellows, and oranges, and inorganic white. Each colorant and carrier component has a specific role in the mixture. We modified the formula multiple times to achieve the desired effects, focusing primarily on the dispersion charge and the carrier package components.
Choosing the right shade of pigment is crucial, as a color that is too dark can lead to undesirable results after healing. Select the shade that best suits the client’s complexion. When in doubt, opt for a lighter shade that you can always darken later. The correct color choice is the foundation of the final pigmentation effect. Although the formulas of the Ombre Brows pigments were designed to allow techniques similar to working with inorganic pigments, they should not be directly compared. Differences in their composition, chemical properties, and physical characteristics lead to different visual effects immediately after application.
