PMU Cartridge Quantum 0.18 1RL – Type A
Central needle guidance · More flexible working characteristics
The Type A cartridge features a centrally guided needle that operates in a more flexible, rather than rigid,
manner.
The needle moves stably up and down along the axis of the cartridge; however, the impact does not have a
hard, direct character.
Compared to cartridges with a stiffer construction, the needle in Type A does not “drive in” abruptly, but
works more softly and in a more controlled way, while maintaining precise central guidance.
If you are looking for a cartridge that does not work hard, yet keeps the needle stable on its axis, Type A
has exactly these characteristics.
Specification:
- Needle diameter: 0,18 mm
- Configuration: 1RL – Round Liner
- Needle taper: Long Taper
- Cartridge type: A
- Needle mounting: central
- Packaging: 1 piece
Construction characteristics:
The PMU Type A cartridge is characterized by a more flexible mechanical behavior of the needle–mounting–membrane
system.
This is not due to the needle material (steel needle), but to its mounting and the cartridge design.
- lower-positioned central needle mounting point,
- extended working length of the needle resulting from the cartridge design,
- shorter reinforcement near the needle,
- soft, more flexible membrane,
- axial, central needle guidance in a tapered tip.
The terms “soft,” “flexible,” or “hard” needle refer to the working characteristics of the entire PMU cartridge,
not to the needle material.
Needle working characteristics:
The more flexible cartridge construction affects how energy is transferred from the device to the needle. Compared
to stiffer designs, the needle impact is less direct.
In practice, the character of a single needle impact (“dot”) is often perceived as more delicate, which is
relevant when working with shading techniques in permanent makeup.
Application – skin types and procedures:
PMU Type A 0.18 cartridges are often chosen for work:
- on normal, delicate, thin, parchment-like, and mature skin,
- for lip pigmentation,
- in ombre brows and powder brow techniques,
- when performing decorative eyeliner.
